As the world accelerates its transition away from fossil-based plastics, a critical question remains: what happens to biopolymers at the end of their life?

To address this, Bio2Pes is organising the webinar “Recycling Biopolymers”, bringing together six projects from the EIC Circular Bioplastics Pathfinder Portfolio – Bio2Pes, CELLAGRI, BORN, ECOSYSTEM, BIO4PAK and SATISPHACTION – to explore the lates advances in recycling, biodegradation, and circular end-of-life strategies for bio-based materials.

Topics covered will include biodegradability by design, compostability in real waste streams, safe and sustainable design (SSbD) frameworks, and end-of-life pathways for bio-based packaging.
